H3O Stats Compiler
A Halo 3 Stats Program

H3O Stats Compiler v1.0.8 Released

3/7/2010 - New version released. This is a minor update.

Changes in v1.0.8:

  • In the Game Viewer, the totals for All Players is now in the same panel as the totals for the teams of the game. This frees up window space so that the player's stats panel has more space.
  • Added 2 new "Special Searches." The first one is titled "51+ Slayer Wins", and basically finds any games you won with more points than you should have (ie in a game to 50, your total in the end was 51.) The other is "Nailbiting Wins", and will find all games (of Slayer, Oddball, or Kings gametypes) in which you won by only one point (for example, you win 50-49.)

H3O Stats Compiler v1.0.7 Released

8/21/2009 - New version released. There is one noteworthy change in this release. Before this release, H3O would absolutely refuse to skip over any game it was having problems downloading. This could cause you to be unable to update your games if you were unlucky enough to have a game in your game list in which bungie.net lost the record of said game. With this new version, H3O will try a couple of times to download games in which bungie.net reports not having a record of the game, and if it can't successfully download it, it will skip over it. It will, on up to 5 future "Updates from the Web", attempt to download this skipped game, and if it still cannot download the game, it will stop trying to download the game altogether.

Changes in v1.0.7:

  • Various tweaks and improvements.
  • H3O will now skip over games in which bungie.net reports not having a record of. It will attempt to download these games up to 5 more times in the future, and it will stop trying if it still cannot download the game.
  • In the Game Viewer, if you right-click a player's name you now have the option "Open Player's Page on bungie.net". This will launch the gamertag's main page on bungie.net.

H3O Stats Compiler v1.0.6 Released

6/27/2009 - New version released. There are only small changes in this new version.

Changes in v1.0.6:

  • Various tweaks and improvements.
  • Added commandline option '--autoupdate-custom'. This can combined with scheduling to automatically download and update the custom games for a list of gamertags (just like the other option '--autoupdate' already does for matchmaking games.)

H3O Stats Compiler v1.0.5 Released

5/22/2009 - New version released.

Changes in v1.0.5:

  • Added ability to search and sort by the Spread stat.
  • Numerous tweaks and a few very minor bug fixes.
  • Added 'Longest Reunion' to the list of Special Searches. This search will search the list of players you have played with, and look for the longest time gap between consecutive times you played with a player. The search returns the two games associated with this longest gap. This can be combined with other searches, to, say, return your 'Longest Reunion' in Lone Wolves games.
  • Added another correction algorithm to correct another error that shows up with stats on bungie.net. It specifically fixes an error where guests in unranked free for all games sometimes show up as placing first when in fact they did not. All games already downloaded are auto-corrected upon first load in this new version.

H3O Stats Compiler v1.0.4 Released

5/5/2009 - New version released to fix an issue that would rarely prevent the downloading of stats. New version released for Windows, and 32 & 64-bit Linux.

Changes in v1.0.4:

  • Fixed an issue that would prevent a player from downloading games.
  • Minor bug fix.

H3O Stats Compiler v1.0.3 Released

4/24/2009 - New version released to fix some issues that would rarely prevent the downloading of stats.

Changes in v1.0.3:

  • Fixed an issue that would prevent a player from downloading games.
  • Workaround for an issue with bungie.net that caused H3O to be unable to do the initial download of games for a gamertag.
  • Minor tweaks and improvements.

H3O Stats Compiler v1.0.2 Released

4/17/2009 - New version released.

Changes in v1.0.2:

  • Added new correction algorithm to the game downloader. This algorithm will intelligently attempt to correct certain errors that sometimes appear in the stats on bungie.net. It will do this for matchmaking games only. Among the issues this new algorithm attempts to correct are:
    • Certain guest players showing up on teams they did not play for.
    • Certain guest players having missing or incorrect 'score' data.
    • Incorrect finishing places for teams.
    • Finishing places not taking into account the fact that all members of a team quit out.
  • In combo with this new algorithm, when you load a savefile from an older version of H3O, v1.0.2 will identify any games that were already downloaded and could possibly benefit and be corrected by the new algorithm. v1.0.2 will delete these games from the savefile, add them to the download queue for the savefile, and they can be redownloaded and benefit from the new algorithm simply by hitting the 'Update from Web' button.
  • Fixed a bug related with the "CSV Export" feature of H3O.
  • Enabled the "Special Searches" box located in 'Search 2' under 'Search.' This area allows the user to perform specialized searches that would be impossible or impracticable with the existing searches. Currently the only specialized searches are 'Trivial Games', which searches for games which may be pointless to keep in the savefile (such as everyone having zero stats.) If you have a good suggestion for a 'special search', email me and let me know. It may get added in the next version.
